Job summary

Cochran Exteriors is seeking a Commercial Project Manager- Exteriors to oversee commercial roofing and exterior construction from preconstruction handoff through final completion.

Ideal for a candidate with a commercial GC background who wants greater ownership and leadership over projects, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and financial performance. On-site role with room for growth and advanced exterior knowledge development.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, field activities, schedules and documentation.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and scopes.
• Understanding of sequencing and jobsite operations.
• Experience with General Contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners and suppliers.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Commercial exterior experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial exterior projects from handoff through closeout.
• Review contracts, scopes, drawings, specifications, submittals and requirements.
• Develop and maintain schedules with GC, customers, field leadership and suppliers.
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Attend kickoff, progress and coordination meetings.
• Maintain proactive communication with GCs, owners, architects, consultants, vendors and internal teams.
• Identify potential issues before they impact the project.
• Work with field leadership to ensure crews have what they need.
• Monitor progress to meet plans, quality and manufacturer requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Track costs, expenses, change orders and profitability.
• Assist with billing, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress, safety and coordination.
• Lead project closeout and final completion.
