Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Experiential Learning to expand high-impact internship opportunities for ASU students. You will partner with employers to design mentorship-focused programs, guide IPN, and promote consistent experiential learning standards across campuses.

The role reports to Career Services and focuses on collaboration with colleges and departments to broaden student access to experiential learning, aligning with academic timelines and program

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• Experience leading a professional network, community of practice, or coalition of cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills with proven workshop design and delivery ability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with academic units and university partners to integrate experiential learning into student programs, aligned with disciplines and career readiness goals.
• Lead IPN, the Internship Professionals Network, as central convener across the ASU ecosystem.
• Advise employers on designing equitable, mentorship-focused internship programs and best practices.
• Educate and train others on evolving trends in experiential learning and resources for employer partners.
• Develop and maintain communications channels and resources for IPN members; coordinate workshops and quarterly meetings.
• Bridge industry needs with ASU student profiles and timelines to scale high-impact on-campus opportunities.
