Job summary

Arizona State University’s Learning Engineering Institute seeks an Assistant Director of Research to lead and coordinate research programs, develop opportunities, and shape policy within LEI. This in‑person role on the Tempe campus collaborates with ASU faculty and external partners to advance education technology and learning analytics.

You will design research strategies, ensure ethical practices, oversee data collection and analysis, mentor a team of researchers, and present findings to LEI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years relevant experience, including 2 years in management
• Equivalent combination of experience and training accepted

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute research strategies to support LEI's objectives
• Collaborate with researchers, ASU faculty, and external partners to design and conduct projects
• Ensure ethical standards and best practices in research methodologies, timelines, and budgeting
• Provide guidance to early career researchers on research methods, analysis, and dissemination
• Oversee data collection, management, and analysis for research and evaluation purposes
• Prepare and present research findings to LEI leadership, faculty, stakeholders, and the broader research community
• Contribute to academic publications, conferences, and professional networks to share knowledge and research outcomes
• Promote integration of research findings into LEI's projects and instructional materials
