Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Lead Experience Designer within the Experience Design (XD) team to shape strategy and deliver AI-powered, user-centered experiences across underwriting, broker, and policyholder-facing platforms. You will collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business stakeholders to modernize legacy systems and explore AI-native opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in UX/design, strong communication skills, and a passion for evolving experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience.
• Four years of related experience.
• Experience in UX/experience design, including research, strategy, and end-to-end delivery.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners across legacy and modern systems.
• Strong design thinking across multi-channel, multi-platform environments.
• Interest in AI-powered or AI-augmented product experiences.
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled product design.

Responsibilities

• Provide design expertise across initiatives, supporting product and journey vision and strategy.
• Lead research and design of solutions for products and services.
• Plan and execute mixed-method user research and usability testing; synthesize results for stakeholders.
• Guide collaboration with end users, business, and tech partners.
• Apply accessibility standards and WCAG; promote inclusive design.
• Contribute to Travelers Design System and Agile methodology; use Double Diamond approach.
• Ensure design work aligns with brand guidelines and maintains quality across projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across platforms and initiatives.
