Job summary

Virginia Guesthouse, opening in April 2026, is a 214-room hotel offering 25,000 sq ft of conference space on UVA Grounds. The Event Planning Manager will lead planning for banquets and catering with a focus on flawless execution and revenue optimization.

Responsibilities include site visits, client presentations, coordinating with Culinary/Banquets/Rooms, and ensuring accurate BEOs; weekend/holiday coverage may be required to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and execution of Banquet/Catering events.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and secure new event business through prospecting and networking.
• Maintain relationships with corporate, social, and event clients for repeat/referral business.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, contracts, and BEOs accurately and timely.
