Job summary

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa in Virginia is seeking a Conference Services Manager to coordinate all aspects of events booked for groups, ensuring policy compliance and superior guest satisfaction.

You will work with catering, conferencing, and outside vendors, manage meeting space, AV, culinary, and revenue through upselling, while building client relationships and reviewing post-event performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Strong communication and sales skills; hospitality experience advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; Delphi FDC learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of activities for conference attendees as assigned by the Director of Catering & Convention Services and Conference Services Managers.
• Coordinate meeting space, audiovisual, culinary, beverage, outside rentals/vendors, and all event-related specifics through BEOs and resumes. Upsell to maximize the revenues in each of these areas.
• Exceed all individual food & beverage revenue goals; develop an individual plan to exceed revenue goals.
• Work with F&B and Conference Service teams to create profitable menus.
• Conduct site inspections, planning meetings, conference calls, and pre- and post-event meetings when necessary.
