Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in heavy civil construction and underground wet utilities to join our growing team. This role will lead estimating efforts for complex infrastructure projects including storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water systems across public works and private development markets.

You'll play a key role in developing competitive bids, supporting preconstruction activities, and partnering with operations teams to successfully

Qualifications

• Experience estimating heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with underground wet utilities estimates.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for underground utility projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Manage estimates using HCSS HeavyBid or similar software.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions.
• Support preconstruction planning, budgeting, and project handoff.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and business partners.
