Job summary

High Value Signs in Irving, TX is seeking a Lead Estimator who understands sign construction, materials, and fabrication. You will build accurate, profitable estimates from drawings, site info, and client requirements, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

You will lead a collaborative Estimating Department, refine standards, review complex bids, and coach junior estimators while coordinating with sales and operations to win profitable work.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial sign construction, materials and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, measurements and site surveys.
• Understanding of Bills of Materials, labor requirements, production methods and installation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Turn sign designs, site information, city ordinances and landlord requirements into complete, accurate, and profitable estimates.
• Determine materials, labor, equipment, outsourced services, permitting, engineering and installation costs.
• Build and maintain estimates and Bills of Materials in ShopVox; evaluate vendor pricing and risks.
• Help establish estimating standards, review complex estimates, and improve templates and processes.
• Coach and develop other estimators and share knowledge to improve accuracy and speed.
