Job summary

The Lewis Group is seeking an Estimator to lead remedial construction, industrial maintenance, and waste disposal proposals. You will study plans, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with PMs to shape winning bids.

You will work with project teams to determine equipment, materials, and subcontractors, present approaches to management, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Analytical ability to breakdown remedial/industrial scopes
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications
• Experience managing customer relationships
• Experience in personnel management is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Capable of working independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Prepares and estimates costs for projects by studying plans and specifications.
• Attends pre-bid site meetings with project management team members.
• Determines equipment, materials, subcontractors, and methodology for proposed scopes.
• Assists or leads the written proposal preparation process.
• Transitions awarded projects to the project management and operations teams.
• Presents approach, production rates, and project details to management.
• Works with facility personnel, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Navigates federal/state environmental regulatory requirements.
• Keeps up to date with safety codes and construction improvements.
