Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school degree or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum five years in a similar estimator role.
• Ability to analyze and break down remedial/industrial scopes.
• Experience reading plans and specifications.
• Ability to manage customer relationships independently.
• Experience in personnel management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Able to handle shifting priorities with analytical skills.
• DOT medical card required.
• Background, motor vehicle, and drug screening and physical tests required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and estimates costs for projects by studying plans and specifications.
• Attends pre-bid site meetings with project management team members.
• Determines equipment, materials, subcontractors, and methodology to complete scopes of work.
• Assists or leads written proposal preparation.
• Transitions awarded projects to the project management and operations teams.
• Presents proposed approach, production rates, and project details to management.
• Works with facility/plant personnel, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Navigates environmental regulatory requirements.
• Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
