Qualifications

BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management with a minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating field.
8+ years of experience in construction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Proficiency in specialized estimating software.
Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing.

Responsibilities

Estimate complex and large-scale jobs, including conceptual estimates, budgets, and value engineering.
Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals to prepare time, cost and labor estimates.
Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for materials and labor.
Prepare cost comparisons and reconcile with previous estimates.
Manage subcontractor solicitation and selection process.
Ensure quality control of bids and estimates.
Participate in business development activities and client interactions.
