Job summary

Sundt-2 is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead and mentor the estimating team, oversee risk and bid development for complex transportation projects, and ensure timely, accurate estimates. You will coordinate with multiple internal groups to optimize bid success and maintain high-quality deliverables throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Ten+ years of estimating experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common estimating software.
• Experience delivering large transportation bids and working as prime contact.
• Knowledge of P6 scheduling and enterprise project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team to deliver accurate, timely bids.
• Assess contract risk and develop mitigation strategies for bids.
• Coordinate with legal, taxes, and other support groups during bids.
• Review work for compliance with plans, specs, and site conditions.
• Mentor junior estimators and participate in talent development.
