Job summary

Silver Star Construction is seeking a Lead Estimator for heavy civil projects in Moore, Oklahoma. This role focuses on creating detailed estimates for roadways, earthwork, utilities, and civil infrastructure while supporting growth across Oklahoma.

The candidate should have 5+ years of civil estimating experience, DOT/ODOT familiarity, and proficiency in HeavyBid, Bluebeam, AGTEK, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Project. A relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing estimates for transportation and heavy civil projects.
• ODOT estimating experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with HeavyBid, Bluebeam, AGTEK, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Five-plus years of estimating experience in civil construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Calculate quantities and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Gather and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Identify potential project risks and constructability concerns.
• Participate in bid reviews and project strategy meetings.
• Coordinate with engineers, owners, and consultants throughout the bidding process.
• Evaluate opportunities for alternative methods and cost efficiencies.
• Assist with scheduling and proposal development.
• Monitor compliance with DBE participation requirements.
• Help establish estimating standards and best practices.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to estimating team members.
