Job summary

ProSource Group in Brooklyn, NYC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join its Brooklyn-based team. This senior role reports to the Director of Estimation and leads the full preconstruction process, from tender through to project buyout, on multi-storey residential and mixed-use NYC developments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of NYC construction estimating experience, a General Contractor background, and a proven track record on projects valued at $30m+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience in the NYC market.
• General Contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Strong multi-storey residential background; mixed-use experience is highly relevant.
• Experience estimating projects valued at $30m+.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed quantity take-offs and full estimate preparation.
• Prepare and manage RFP packages for subcontractors and vendors.
• Analyse, review and level subcontractor proposals.
• Complete scope reviews, identify gaps and ensure full trade coverage.
• Support value-engineering exercises and cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead or support post-award buyout.
• Collaborate with the estimating director, project teams and subcontractors.
• Mentor and oversee junior estimators.

Job description

A well-established NYC General Contractor is seeking a Lead Estimator to join its Brooklyn-based team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an estimator with substantial experience delivering estimates for multi-storey residential and mixed-use developments across New York City. The successful person will report to the Director of Estimation and take a leading role across the full preconstruction process, from early tender through to project buyout.

Role Overview

Compensation & Benefits
