Job summary

A growing general contractor in New York City is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for various commercial projects. You will analyze drawings and specifications, solicit pricing, and coordinate with project teams. The ideal candidate has previous estimating experience with a general contractor, strong understanding of construction methods, and excellent communication skills. This position offers a competitive salary of up to $150K plus full benefits.

📍 Estimator – NYC (Up to $150K + Full Benefits)

A growing General Contractor working on commercial, hospitality, retail, institutional, and mixed-use projects across NYC is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.

You’ll be part of an estimating department that supports a wide variety of project types from custom retail and restaurant interiors to large scale office and institutional builds.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze drawings, specs, and RFPs to build accurate and competitive bids
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Coordinate scopes with project managers and design teams
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit costs, and historical data
• Assist with budget development, value engineering, and risk analysis
• Support pre-construction efforts from conceptual through hard bid phases
