Job summary

Davis & Associates, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Lead Estimator to drive preconstruction activities and develop accurate, competitive construction estimates from concept through bid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of conceptual estimates, budgets, competitive bids, GMPs, and detailed construction cost estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, bid documents, and other project information to fully understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for applicable scopes of work.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and bid packages for subcontractor solicitation.
• Identify scope gaps, overlaps, exclusions, allowances, and potential project risks.
• Prepare detailed estimate summaries and supporting documentation

Role Description

Davis & Associates is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Estimator to play a key role in our Preconstruction and Estimating team.

The Lead Estimator is responsible for leading the development of accurate, comprehensive, and competitive construction estimates from initial concept through final bid. This position will have significant responsibility for evaluating project opportunities, developing bid strategies, performing detailed cost analysis, engaging the subcontractor market, and helping position Davis & Associates for successful project pursuits.

The Lead Estimator will work closely with company leadership, Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other members of the Preconstruction team to ensure a collaborative approach to estimating and a seamless transition from preconstruction into operations.
