Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; field experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise craft workers and drive safety.
• Ability to plan tasks and train safety practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance; estimating fundamentals.
• Strong communication with craft workers and management.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendent and PM to organize crew, materials, and equipment for productivity, quality and cost within budget.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including quantities, productivity, time sheets and daily management reports.
• Assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequence of activities for assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Enforce safety rules and lead crew in safe operations per company and government rules.
• Lead toolbox talks and communicate safety concerns, scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.
• Monitor compliance with company policies by all employees under supervision.
• Continuously check crew work and adjust plans and schedule as required.
• Prioritize workload and operate within defined budget.
