Job Description

The Lead Equipment Inventory Clerk oversees daily asset management at Ritchie Bros. locations, interacting with operations, sales, and customers. The role demands high attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, directly impacting location efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as the first point of contact for customer service related to equipment inventory.
2. Manage shipping/receiving documentation related to equipment movement, including processing within internal systems.
3. Identify equipment serial numbers, record descriptions, and label equipment accurately.
4. Promote health and safety culture at the workplace.
5. Provide inventory status updates on selling platforms.
6. Assist in disposal of aged and abandoned assets.
7. Support Yard Manager and team with daily tasks and reporting.
8. Ensure team compliance with company processes and procedures.
9. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

1. 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and technology systems.
3. Experience with documentation processing is an asset.
4. Process-oriented with strong adherence to policies.
5. Data management and spreadsheet skills.
6. Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
7. Knowledge of construction equipment and trucks is desirable.
8. Strong customer service orientation.
9. Organizational and time management skills.
10. Ability to work outdoors and indoors, and handle large equipment.
