Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking a Sr. Equipment Tech Engineer in Spring Hill, TN. The role leads design, installation, maintenance and optimization of critical manufacturing equipment to support production goals.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, cross‑functional collaboration, and mentoring junior staff. Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in equipment engineering, maintenance, or technical support.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of equipment to meet ops needs.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to optimize performance and safety.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose upgrades.
• Document specifications, procedures, and reports.
• Manage equipment installation, upgrades and process improvement projects.
