Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing expertise evaluating feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and designing remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port sites.
• Understanding principles of sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial action design/construction.
• Supporting mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serving as task manager on sediment sites, communicating strategy to client and experts.
• Liaising with client, public, and outside consultants; translating technical evaluations for non-experts.
• Leading staff in preparing and reviewing technical documents to meet regulations.
