Job summary

Actalent in Los Angeles is seeking an Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist to join our team as Project Geologist. You will lead environmental compliance and permitting projects, manage client relationships, and coordinate technical staff from proposal through completion.

The role requires a strong background in hazardous waste management and water quality, plus project management and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
• 10+ years in environmental consulting or industry.
• Proven project management experience overseeing multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance programs.
• Experience with hazardous waste management, water quality permitting, and environmental reporting.
• PE and/or PG license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance, hazardous waste, water quality, and permitting projects.
• Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and manage subcontractors.
• Support proposal development and project planning.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and QA standards.
