Job summary

SoCalGas is seeking an Environmental Science Senior I for field compliance on major projects. The role leads environmental studies and permitting, coordinating field activities and regulatory filings to ensure project success and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in environmental science, strong regulatory interpretation, and the ability to work with project teams and agencies. This on-site position supports California energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: environmental studies/science, urban/environmental planning, biology, archaeology, geography, or engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 5 years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental studies and permit applications with project teams.
• Provide technical leadership for environmental documents (CEQA/NEPA).
• Coordinate field activities, permitting schedules, and stakeholder communications.
