Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Environmental Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Lab Manager for our New Castle, Delaware facility. You will lead laboratory operations, ensure compliance, and supervise staff to meet QA standards and client expectations.

You will oversee QA processes, develop QC samples, review proficiency testing, and drive continuous improvement in analytical performance across soil, water, and oil analyses.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Biology/Chemistry or related field.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience.
• 3-5 years management experience.
• 5-10 years analytical experience or related technical field.
• Knowledge of soil, water, and oil analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and ensure compliance of laboratory operations.
• Maintain/adjust workflow to meet turnaround times and improve lab functionality.
• Supervise staff and oversee QA program implementation and ongoing assessment.
• Develop, implement, and audit the QA program and QC data handling.
• Conduct periodic reviews of proficiency testing data and corrective actions.
