Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking a Lab Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA, accreditation, and compliance for regional laboratory operations across soils, concrete, and asphalt labs. You will support performance, staff competency, and continuous improvement while upholding ECS Core Values.

The role requires overseeing QA/QC programs, maintaining calibration records, and ensuring accurate testing reports. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED; Civil Engineering degree preferred
• Certifications per ECS policy (PE/PG/NICET Level IV) for labs
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS
• Experience with accreditation programs and QA/QC systems
• Experience supervising laboratory personnel
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing
• Understanding of QA/QC programs and QMS

Responsibilities

• Oversees quality assurance across soils, concrete, and asphalt labs
• Ensures compliance with Quality Manual and QMS
• Coordinates accreditation events and proficiency programs
• Maintains calibration schedules and records for equipment
• Oversees equipment maintenance and testing accuracy
• Reviews test results and reports prior to release
• Evaluates staff performance and competency
• Supports training and development of personnel
• Ensures labs are staffed and operating efficiently
• Develops lab-specific policies and procedures
• Monitors continuous quality improvement
• Supports Construction Services and lab managers
• Participates in business development to expand capabilities
• Performs testing for training and evaluation
• Performs other quality and operational support duties
