Job summary

AMD is seeking an EPYC Server Lead System Engineer in Austin to drive validation strategy and program execution for next‑gen server CPUs. You will lead cross‑functional teams spanning hardware, firmware, OS, and validation to ensure timely silicon delivery with high quality.

You will define post‑Si test plans, oversee risk management, and mentor a team of engineers, contributing to AMD's data center leadership and enduring performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience leading server/SoC validation programs a must.
• Strong communication with technical and executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Defines program plans to meet product requirements, schedule, budget, and scope.
• Manages platform execution and reports on deliverables and risks.
• Develops validation strategy based on complexity and features.
• Oversees end-to-end feature development with Architecture, FW/SW, Validation and Customer Engineering teams.
• Drives Post-Si test plan development and delivery of samples and collateral.
• Defines supported platform configurations, FW collateral, fuse recipes and debug tools.
• Oversees defect prioritization and root cause analysis.
• Manages technical constraints and prioritization of assets.
• Provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to validation team members.
