Job summary

HNI Corporation is seeking a Lead Workplace Audio Visual Technician to support corporate showrooms and event spaces across major metropolitan areas. The role involves hands-on AV leadership, installation, and ongoing optimization of conferencing and collaboration systems with a strong emphasis on reliability and customer service.

Travel up to 75% is required to support showrooms, projects, and events throughout the US.

Qualifications

Assists senior technicians and leads complex AV deployments.
Experience supporting enterprise conference room and collaboration technologies.
Strong communication and customer-service orientation in high-visibility events.
Ability to travel up to 75% to support showrooms and events across the US.
Industry certifications preferred (AVIXA CTS/CTS-I).

Responsibilities

Serve as lead technical resource for AV and collaboration systems across showrooms, conference rooms, and events.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize AV and collaboration equipment.
Establish room standards, baselines, procedures, and documentation to improve support.
Lead root-cause analysis for complex issues and coordinate improvements.
Oversee hardware/software upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
Collaborate with Facilities, IT, and vendors to ensure project success.
