Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Lead Engineer for Tooling, GSE and Production Tooling to drive the development and continuous improvement of tooling, ground support equipment (GSE) and test for the Neutron launch vehicle.

You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate scaling of production tooling, and work with facilities, operations and design reviews to improve manufacture and test processes. A strong background in tooling design and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering design experience.
• Experience in a leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers for tooling, GSE, and test for Neutron.
• Coordinate a team focused on tooling scale, GSE design, and test coordination.
• Develop training plans and manage capital projects for production scaling.
• Contribute to design reviews as an expert in design for manufacture and test.
