Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I/II for the Neutron launch vehicle program at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, MD. The role focuses on development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for the Neutron structure.

Responsibilities include planning builds, developing tooling, and collaborating with various engineering teams to enable efficient vehicle assembly and testing, with a base pay range noted for MD.

Qualifications

• BS in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering is required.
• 5+ years building and testing hardware for space launch vehicles or similar aerospace hardware.
• Ability to model with 3D CAD, produce prints, and work with large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute build and integration of Neutron hardware.
• Develop ops, tooling, and processes for ground handling and assemblies.
• Improve build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors.
• Support integration teams in day-to-day vehicle assembly and testing.
• Develop work instructions and document non-conformances into improvements.
