KIRA is seeking a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex products and systems, while guiding a globally distributed team. This hands-on technical leadership role requires designing systems, coding, reviewing, and driving major initiatives from idea to production.

You will move between architecture and implementation, making strong technical decisions and mentoring engineers to raise the team’s capability. Join us to build reliable, scalable financial tools across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with proven production systems experience.
• Deep technical expertise in backend, frontend, APIs, databases or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills with experience making complex decisions.
• Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and reviews while guiding others.
• Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on with engineering through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging and production problem-solving.
• Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability across the team.
• Own systems beyond release — monitor production, investigate incidents and improve reliability.
