Job summary

KIRA is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team building scalable products used by millions across the region. You will guide engineers, make architecture decisions, and drive delivery from idea to production while maintaining quality and speed.

You will work across people, product and technology to set a high bar for engineering and deliver real customer outcomes in a remote, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production systems experience.
• Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning delivery.
• Strong technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to balance speed, scalability and maintainability in decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across frontend, backend and full stack development.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas with reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with product, design, mobile, backend and AI teams to translate problems into technical solutions.
• Set engineering standards around code quality, testing, observability and production reliability.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching and performance management to engineers.
• Drive architecture decisions for APIs, data stores, and infrastructure.
• Identify performance gaps and raise the bar for execution.
