Job summary

PRI seeks a Principal Engineer to provide general technical and engineering management expertise for standards and technical reports. This role facilitates working groups and user forums, supporting development, management, marketing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position involves planning and conducting meetings, developing industry guidance, coordinating with subcommittees and conferences, and delivering technical oversight with confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 6 years' experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering or related management roles.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
• Technical/engineering expertise with standards development or auditing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, writing, editing and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong project management and global/cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate task groups to develop industry guidance, standards, and technical reports.
• Develop proposals for statements of work for new and revised standards and reports.
• Support projects, plan goals and coordinate technical activities.
• Coordinate with subcommittees, working groups, and meetings; prepare agendas and minutes.
• Provide technical oversight reports, ensure timely release of documents, and close non-conformances.
• Support program strategic plans with deadlines, goals, and milestones.
