Job summary

HDR is seeking a Liquid Fuels Infrastructure Technical Lead to execute technical deliverables for federal and commercial projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate quality reviews, and collaborate with client managers to drive outcomes.

You will lead design of liquid petroleum fuel systems, monitor portfolio growth, and coordinate resources across HDR's projects. This is a fast-paced, onsite role based in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or recognized license).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, grow and participate in HDR’s Federal and commercial Liquid Fuels Infrastructure portfolio.
• Manage key projects or programs, including technical staff and sub-consultant teams.
• Provide analysis, evaluation and design of fuel systems for military and commercial clients.
• Support marketing, client development and cross-functional collaboration to maximize growth.
• Coordinate internal resources and balance workloads across project development.
• Ensure quality control reviews align with HDR policy and schedules.
• Track project finances and ensure deliverables meet budgets and timelines.
