Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Electrification Systems Sr. Engineering Team Lead to shape next-gen electrified power systems. The role defines customer requirements, influences system architecture, and guides cross-functional teams across divisions to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

This role demands strong communication, influencing, and technical leadership to drive product design, development, and deployment in a multi-divisional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Extensive experience in powertrain, drivetrain, or electrified system development.
• Experience with NPI, requirements management, and FMEA-based development.
• Electrification architecture experience for integrated electric-hybrid or battery-electric systems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• 10 years experience in powertrain, drivetrain, or electrified system development.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture definition and implementation for electric powertrain and hybrid system projects across segments.
• Translate customer and market needs into application requirements for power conversion, battery packs, inverters, motors, chargers, and energy storage systems.
• Own product requirements, interfaces, and cost-value tradeoffs through concept to NPI execution.
• Apply cross-system knowledge to guide architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, product management, NPI, purchasing, and business development teams to make high-level decisions.
