Job summary

Octave is hiring a Lead Engineer to found the Customer Innovation platform. You will design and ship a lightweight version of the platform builder, enabling customers and internal teams to assemble AI-powered workflows from reusable building blocks.

You’ll partner with strategic customers to move from brainstorming to working prototypes, define production-ready criteria, and guide distributed engineers to a final build that delivers real value in industrial operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in customer-facing or pre-product roles preferred.
• Ability to translate prototypes into technical specs for distributed teams.
• Experience with industrial software or GIS is a differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the co-innovation platform powering customer engagements.
• Lead prototype to production governance for production-ready capabilities.
• Facilitate early workshops with strategic customers and internal teams.
• Package prototypes into clear requirements and technical specs.
• Develop AI pilots and reference architectures for integrations.
