The Bettis Shipboard Electrical Systems Infrastructure team is at the center of this mission maintaining, modernizing, and reimagining RPI&C test system infrastructure at the Bettis site, and developing innovative test solutions for both current platforms and future designs.
The Bettis Infrastructure Development (BID) unit is seeking an experienced Principal level Lead Engineer to drive the near term establishment of new RPI&C Composite Test Facilities at Bettis. These state of the art facilities are essential to mission critical New Design NR Program deliverables (e.g., BBGN) and will directly influence the performance and reliability of next generation shipboard systems.

As the Lead Engineer for Composite Test Facility Infrastructure at Bettis, you will have a rare opportunity to blend system level thinking, practical engineering, and leadership to deliver capabilities that directly support the Fleet and future platforms.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Currently a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
Experience with NR Program RPI&C work.
Experience with managing complex work assignments across a variety of stakeholder organizations.
Direct experience with and/or oversight of shipbuilding and/or maintenance of shipboard instrumentation and control systems.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a broad array of Program personnel (e.g., engineers, trades, compliance, environmental, etc.)
Experience or interest in championing and advocating safety.
Experience in recognizing and managing workplace hazards.
While not a prerequisite for application to this requisition the selected employee will be required to maintain qualifications as an electrical worker and a lock out tag out authorized employee.
$117,900.00 - $184,300.00 annually
