Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an engineer to advance radiological work at Bettis Laboratory, developing deactivation and decommissioning procedures for legacy facilities and supporting safety across critical infrastructure. You will learn to create procedures for the operations team to work safely in radiological facilities.

The role requires an accredited degree in a related field and the ability to pass initial and retention exams.

Qualifications

Join the team responsible for engineering radiological work associated with the Bettis Laboratory!

In this role you'll:

• Develop Deactivation & Decommissioning procedures for legacy facilities
• Support critical infrastructure maintaining safety across the site
• Create procedures for the operational team to work in radiological facilities

In this position you will be trained to engineer procedures for and work with radiological operations. This requires passing an initial qualification exam and periodic retention exams.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.

Pay Range

$63,900.00 - $97,800.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
