Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Lead Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to drive reliability, safety, and performance across AESCE assets in the US. You will coordinate field operations, perform advanced data analyses, and mentor teams on diagnostics and process improvements.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of BESS, experience in audits and safety, and willingness to travel up to 35% to support projects and site assessments.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D Degree in Engineering or beyond with 10+ years of experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with field operations for BESS system safety compliance and audit corrections.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of AESCE battery fleet.
• Mentor reliability and performance engineers on data analysis and RCA.
• Lead optimization efforts using AES APEX & Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop PM procedures with OEM manuals alongside engineers.
