Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an experienced professional to assist in evaluating, negotiating, and executing structured energy transactions including renewable power purchase agreements and data center development agreements. You will interact with potential customers and front-line originators to tailor deal structures and documents to meet needs.

The role requires 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree, CFA, and CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 8+ years of experience preferred.
• Master's Degree is a plus.
• CFA certification is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with potential customers and originators to understand needs and propose solutions; negotiates deal structures and documents.
• Analyzes and develops different structures for customers including risk mitigation solutions.
• Oversees, guides, and negotiates contracts and related documents between the Company and counterparty opportunities.
• Prepares presentations and internal communications for senior leadership to support the vetting process and decision making.
• Coordinates with Tax, Legal, Credit, Accounting and Risk Management from involved internal departments.
• Presents deals to senior leadership and seeks approval of proposed deal structures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
