Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL seeks an Endoscopy Technician - Lead to assist physicians with highly complex endoscopic procedures and to act as the technical expert for endoscopic equipment and instrumentation. The role includes training and mentoring colleagues and teaching continuing education in GI endoscopy.

Qualifications

• Assist the endoscopist during complex endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR, and ESD.
• Provide leadership, training and mentoring to Endoscopy Technicians and nurses.
• Maintain equipment and respond to emergencies in OR/ICU/ER as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the endoscopist during complex endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and EUS.
• Set up cautery settings for interventional endoscopic procedures.
• Mix agents for endoscopic procedures in correct proportions.
• Provide endoscopic support for emergencies in operating room, ICU and ER.
• Operate AV equipment for recording teaching cases.
• Lead training and competency development for endoscopy staff.
