Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. seeks an Advanced Endoscopy Technician to perform and support advanced interventional GI procedures and ensure instrumentation readiness before, during, and after endoscopy.

You will work with physicians, RNs, and the Endoscopy Team, provide staff training, assist with fluoroscopy, scope handling, and specimen labeling, and maintain equipment according to policy. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in BLS/Healthcare Provider required.
• Three years of endoscopy experience for certified team members or five years for non-certified team members.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and oversees staff training in advanced endoscopic procedures and scope handling.
• Assists with advanced endoscopic interventions and fluoroscopy image capture.
• Maintains and reprocesses endoscopic equipment and supplies according to policy.
• Precepts new endoscopy technicians and supports multidisciplinary team procedures.
• Ensures proper specimen labeling and transport to the appropriate department.
