Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital seeks an Endoscopy Technician - Lead to oversee advanced GI procedures and mentor a team of technicians and nurses. You will coordinate equipment, teach best practices, and ensure high-quality patient care across endoscopy suites.

The role requires hands-on expertise in ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, and strong collaboration with physicians and staff. Excellent teamwork and teaching skills are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college or certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience in endoscopy or GI settings.
• Experience leading or training other staff is required.
• Knowledge of endoscopic procedures (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist endoscopist during complex procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EMR.
• Set up cautery and accessory equipment for interventional cases.
• Provide endoscopic support in OR, ICU and ER as needed.
• Mentor and precept junior Endoscopy Technicians and nurses.
• Operate AV equipment for teaching and recording procedures.
• Maintain endoscopy supplies and participate in instrument decontamination.
