Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Sr. Staff Validation & Tools Engineer to define and drive the validation strategy for embedded firmware and software across vehicles.

You will build scalable SIL/HIL platforms, develop Python-based test tooling, and partner with hardware, firmware, systems, product, and mobile teams to ensure release readiness. You will mentor engineers, establish robust metrics, and integrate validation into CI/CD pipelines, contributing to a quality‑first culture in a fast‑moving startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field is required.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering and embedded testing experience.
• Proven track record leading validation strategy for embedded/mobility platforms.
• Experience with RTOS or Linux in embedded contexts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for embedded firmware and software validation.
• Design, scale, and maintain SIL/HIL validation infra for automated testing.
• Build validation frameworks to improve coverage, speed, and traceability.
• Lead end-to-end validation planning for features and firmware releases.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, product and mobile teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis across hardware, firmware, software, and test infra.
• Develop automated test tooling using Python frameworks.
• Integrate validation workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers on validation strategy and quality ownership.
• Communicate validation status and risks to leadership.
