Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, and embedded systems relevant to Garmin products.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of embedded software engineers on Garmin’s Marine software family.
• Coordinate requirements and designs per Garmin’s methodology.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure milestones are met.
• Direct recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
• Develop product development plans and monitor progress against goals.
