Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 9+ years experience, or equivalent.
• Experience leading software projects with new or expanding technologies.
• Experience architecting solutions across multiple teams or disciplines.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across marine product platforms.
• Serve as Lead Software Engineer on major initiatives involving new technologies.
• Drive designs balancing performance, reliability, and security in embedded environments.
• Commonize software technologies across embedded products.
• Contribute to software development in C and C++ for major products.
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers.
• Collaborate with external software vendors to integrate deliverables.
• Evaluate new technologies and features and propose improvements.
• Author new procedures and drive process improvements.
• Apply deep technical expertise to resolve complex problems.
• Contribute to software reviews across multiple product areas.
