Job summary

Radiant Power is seeking an Engineering Software Manager to lead a small team of embedded software engineers responsible for DO-178C compliant development of our aerospace products in Sarasota, FL. This is a full-time, on-site position.

You will oversee requirements, design, testing, and integration, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA, and drive the technical vision while ensuring on-time delivery and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in embedded systems development with safety-critical software (DO-178C).
• Proven track record of managing teams with similar skills and experience.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of embedded software engineers in design, development, and testing for our products.
• Oversee software development from requirements to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and DO-178C compliance.
• Manage multiple projects with DAL C or higher, ensuring design reviews, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance for seamless integration.
• Develop and maintain the technical vision for embedded software products and identify improvements.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on best practices, coding standards, and project management.
• Ensure all team members have necessary skills and training for DO-178C and other standards.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
