Job summary

Blue Origin's Honeybee Robotics in Southern California seeks a rover autonomy lead for the CT-4 lunar rover. You will implement an onboard perception and navigation system that maps terrain and avoids hazards in real time, owning this capability from concept through field testing and flight operations.

Collaborate with scientists, engineering teams, and program management to bring exciting products from concept to production, with ongoing opportunities to innovate autonomous systems across rover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Robotics/Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in embedded software for hardware platforms.
• C/C++ proficiency for baremetal development.
• Experience with spaceflight avionics and safety-critical code.
• Strong in unit testing, sensor drivers, and hardware debugging.

Responsibilities

• Lead coding, testing and validation of vehicle control software.
• Manage software field deployments and customer support.
• Derive and own software system requirements and schedules.
• Improve system design for robust autonomy.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineering managers and program managers.
