Job summary

Coperion is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead software development for embedded Linux platforms, industrial controls, and IoT edge devices. You will guide architecture, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and drive the creation of scalable, secure products that support digital transformation in industrial settings.

The role involves cloud-connected services, data analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and web-based dashboards, with emphasis on cyber security and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong C/C++ on Linux/embedded platforms.
• Experience in industrial controls, automation, IoT, or edge computing.
• Knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT or OPC UA is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data analytics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of software for embedded Linux platforms and IoT edge devices.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications and embedded systems.
• Lead software architecture reviews and projects from concept to deployment.
• Develop cloud-connected services for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics.
• Create modern web interfaces, dashboards, and data visualization tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement and modernization.
• Ensure cybersecurity best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
