Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in embedded/firmware with 3+ years in a senior or technical lead role.
• Fluency in C and C++ for embedded systems, and Python for tooling and testing.
• RTOS environments like FreeRTOS, ROS2, Zephyr; embedded targets such as STM32/ARM MCUs.
• Experience with hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded firmware design, development, and optimization for robotics, autonomous, or maritime platforms.
• Architect and review firmware integrated with hardware and sensors; document processes and best practices.
• Mentor engineers; perform design reviews and drive roadmap planning.
• Ensure real-time performance, reliability, and safety; support manufacturing and production.
