Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL seeks a Lead Embedded Engineer to lead the development of embedded software for network and core functionality on Caterpillar machines and engines.

You will advocate for the customer, translate their needs to the global value team, and guide the delivery with a focus on data link communications and security. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams, design robust solutions, and help plan releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or computer engineering or computer science.
• 6 years of systems and software development experience.
• 4 years (concurrent) experience in automotive, machine, or industrial embedded software development.
• Experience with AVB/TSN, Industrial Ethernet protocols, Autonomy and Automation middleware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with customers and the CSNS Global Value Team to translate needs into work.
• Interface between customer and delivery team and help in release planning.
• Accountable for customer issues and feature enhancements and project timelines.
