Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Controls Hardware Architect to lead embedded hardware architecture across Thermo King products. You will own functional, technical, and integration architectures for embedded controls hardware and ensure robust connectivity with internal ecosystems and external devices.

You will partner with architecture teams and cross‑functional colleagues to set benchmarks for world‑class controls solutions, guiding development from concept to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded hardware development or architecture leadership preferred.
• Strong cross‑disciplinary communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for embedded hardware architecture across product lines.
• Create and govern architecture standards, roadmaps, and modularity components.
• Evaluate technologies and present architectural recommendations to senior management.
• Develop standard work guidelines and templates to improve cycle time and reuse.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to hardware engineering teams.
